Smartpunk House at SXSW!

Hey guys!

We put on a great show at Smartpunk House earlier this month in Austin, Texas! Over 800 people attended each day, stages were stacked, and we have a great recap video for you to check out. Check it out here:

Smartpunk Records Merch and Vinyl Pop-Up

At The Ballroom in Austin, we had 60 bands playing over two days on 3 stages, with local vendors, merch stores, food trucks, free tattoos, and a skate ramp on deck! We can't thank Orange Amplifiers, SJC drums, Ernie Ball, Topo Chico, Cutty Sark Scotch, Van Gogh Vodka, Strange Candy Hot Sauce, Landyachtz Skateboards, Schlaudie Skate Co., and AKT Enterprises enough for their support of the event. We also want to shout out WTF Publicity, No Earbuds, and Bittersweet Media for their partnership as well.

The skateboarding ramp was a huge hit — we had skaters from all over the world show up to shred! Our outdoor stage was so loud, the cops tried to shut us down 4 times but couldn't keep us down for long — eventually, they had to call in the SWAT team because someone took a unicycle onto the ramp!! Just kidding…about the SWAT team….not the unicycle.

Day 2 graced us with BALDFEST presented by Kosha Dillz, which featured a bunch of rad artists including NAPPY ROOTS!! The party went on all night and we closed it down at 2 AM (phew.)!

We honestly can’t believe we pulled off the FIRST of many Smartpunk House events to come! What an amazing weekend, we couldn’t have done it without you! See you next year at SXSW :)
